Alkaline vs Acidic Water – There’s a BIG Difference!

Most bottled water is ACIDIC. Acidic water has a pH which generally falls BELOW the body's natural pH – which hovers around 7.3 .

Our diets, stressful lifestyles, air pollution, etc., all add to the acidity in our bodies. Top that off with bottled water and you've got a huge mess.

Disease grows in acidic environments and acidic water dehydrates and actually leaches essential minerals AWAY from our bodies.

In addition, acidic water breaks down the PET plastic used to make the bottles most bottled water comes in … that means chemicals such as BPA will leach into the water, which is then consumed.

Starting April 20, 2012, we have events scheduled just about every weekend all the way into June! As we do at EVERY event, we’ll be setting up Hydration Stations to dispense filtered, purified & re-mineralized water to everyone at the event … attendees, volunteers, vendors … and even Fido!

Be sure to bring your re-usable water bottle for FREE refills all day long. At most of these events, there will be NO water in plastic bottles for sale.

Good Water = Good Business

Seeing the need to eliminate recycling somewhere in the neighborhood of 8000 plastic bottles every month, the administration at Oak Knoll School in Summit, New Jersey installed sensor activated water coolers in the cafeteria at the school. The coolers are sensor activated and include a counter which ticks off every 16-ounces, indicating how many plastic bottles are NOT used. The well thought out system also saves time, space and money.

The coolers are linked to a PUR2o Water Purification & Filtration System with the ALL IMPORTANT remineralizing component which makes the water ALKALINE & IONIZED.

Going Green: Dining Hall Water Filtration System Installed During March Break

Oak Knoll was busy getting a little greener this March Break.

The students and faculty may have been away but campus was buzzing with workers installing a new, state-of-the-art PUR2o water filtration system inside the Aileen Maury Dining Hall.

The new water filtration system eliminates the need for bottled water in the dining hall. Along with this installation, biodegradable cups made from corn will be available, but students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle container. Smaller, disposable plastic water bottles will still be available for the Lower School.

The water is more than just filtered however. The water is also purified, ionized, and re-mineralized with the natural nutrients and supplements needed in the body. According to Pur2o, this water not only tastes lighter and sweeter than bottled water, but it also provides better hydration, prevents muscle cramps, and is anti-oxidant.

Reducing the amount of plastic water bottles that are consumed is also helping make Oak Knoll greener. The oil used each year to make plastic water bottles in the United States could run more than 100,000 cars.

Banish Mind Fog with Water

Keeping tabs on the spiritual aspect of well-being provides the foundation for Hugo to help people achieve optimal health.

As many people know, the human body is made up of 75% water, which makes water intake and the quality thereof, integral to maintaining a health. Hugo explains that any type of diet, be it omnivore, vegetarian or vegan, needs water. “The truth is that many people go through their lives in a dehydrated state and don’t even realize it,” says Hugo. “I recommend everyone drink at least half their body weight in ounces per day of pure alkaline water.”

Mild dehydration can lead to mind fog, explains Hugo. “Most people will reach for Gatorade or even coffee. This really won’t help – especially since coffee dehydrates. It would be better instead to drink a full glass of water to clear the mind.”

Hugo even recommends taking in water before any other liquid or food item in the morning. “For the past 8 hours or however long a person is asleep the body is in a state of rest, but during that time cells are repairing and detoxing.” Taking in water in the morning can support digestion – drink it while waiting for the coffee to brew so it fills the belly and leaves you craving less . Another glass of water after that first cup of coffee will help the body process the caffeine.”
