We asked Joe & Caitlin to share their top tips to improve body movement throughout the spring and summer seasons ahead:


Walk: Walking is nature's back balm. Especially if you have a history of back pain, walking can develop pelvic stability, thoracic mobility, and lubricates your discs and joints.



Maintain Your Spine: Spine hygiene is a must to protect the back, prevent pain, and support fitness/athletic performance.  Practicing a neutral spine is key in building the strongest core.




Warm Up: Warm up before physical activity.  Camisa PT promotes the McGill Big 3 as a warmup for both rehab and prehab.  Preparing your core before movement is the best habit.




Hydrate: Proper hydration plays a significant role in what we do to promote overall wellness, healing and functional movement.  Specifically, their use of Frequency Specific Microcurrent is most effective on a hydrated patient.  Camisa PT instructs each patient to come hydrated to their appointments and to rehydrate after their appointments so their body can optimize their treatment and the modalities used to promote healing throughout the body. The human body is on average 60% water.  Studies state that the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even our bones are comprised of water at 31%. Only a well-oiled machine can move, function and operate at optimal level.
